Azov-Don Shipping Co to invest $10.4m in Rostov Universal Port in 2010
Azov-Don Shipping Company intends to invest $10.4m into the ongoing construction of Rostov Universal Port in 2010, news agency RIA Novosti reports.
Construction of a $650m multimodal transport and logistics center Rostov Universal Port started in 2006 and is scheduled to be fully completed in 2013.
To date, a total of $39m has been invested in the project. The funds were reportedly used to build six decks with projected annual capacity of up to 3 million tons of cargos, 6.5 kilometers of rail and motor roads in the port territory, Cuatoms post and temporary storage warehouse.
Under plans, in perspective, the port is to transship 20 types of cargos, including coal, metals, grains, mineral fertilizers and others.
