A total of $20.5m is to be spent to finance unemployment prevention program in Nizhny Novgorod region in 2010, regional officials report.
Of the total funding, $18.3m is to be assigned from the federal budget, and $2.2m is to be put up by regional authorities.
Under plans, the funds are to be spent to organize training programs for 4,418 workers under dismissal threat, as well as to organize community service and temporary jobs.
