The Republic of Komi has reported its January – September foreign trade turnover to be just over $665m.
According to the Syktyvkar Customs, it is a 21% year-on-year drop.
Exports reportedly accounted for 51% of turnover.
As the Customs reported, the region exported goods to 95 countries, predominantly to Kazakhstan, Finland, Iran, Ukraine, and Italy. Wood/pulp-and-paper products and energy carriers accounted for 80% and 14% of exports, respectively, Customs officers said.
Imports reportedly came from 51 countries, predominantly Finland, the Czech Republic, China, Germany, and Italy. Mechanical engineering products accounted for 78% of imports, the officers said.
