Vadim Lapidus |
Biography In 1991 Vadim Lapidus was appointed the CEO of Methodical Center of Certification Prioritet and in 2002 he became its business adviser. As of 2004 he is the CEO of Center Prioritet. <br /> Mr Lapidus studied radiophysics and electronics at Gorky State University n.a. Lobachevsky, Radiophysics Department. In 1974 he received a degree of candidate of Science from Moscow Radiocommunication Research Institute. He is a PhD candidate in radiocommunication and Doctor of Engineering in engineering systems management <br /> Vadim Lapidus is an active member of Russian Academy of Quality Problems; member of American Society for Quality and Southern-Italian Society for Quality; member of International Academy for Quality. As of 2006 Vadim Lapidus is President of International Union of Quality Professionals. <br /> Vadim Lapidus gave lectures on quality management at Gorky State University n.a. Lobachevsky (from 1981 to 1991). From 1995 to 1998 he worked as a Professor at the Department of New Methods of Product Quality Monitor and Control at Academy of Standardization Metrology and Certification. He has been repeatedly invited to give lectures on quality management methods abroad: The University of Tokyo and Keio University (Tokyo, 1994), The Georgia Institute of Technology (USA, 1995), University of Naples (Italy, 1996, 1997), and Tel-Aviv University and Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa (Israel, 1994, 1996). Vadim Lapidus advised on creation and implementation of TQM systems at largest Russian enterprises, including Avtovaz (Togliatti, Russia), GAZ (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia), Pavlovsky Bus Plant and US-Russian JV Instrum Rand (Pavlovo, Russia), and others. <br /> Mr Lapidus is the author of many publications on quality management, including TQM, international standards ISO 9000 series, quality management in automobile industry, etc. He also tackles issues of management, motivation, and leadership in his works. |
