Kendrick D. White (48), has extensive venture capital fund management experience as well as corporate finance consulting and direct executive management experience, accumulated during his 19 years of full time work in Russia. In 2005, Mr. White founded Marchmont Capital Partners, LLC, an investment advisory firm focused on VC and PE finance raising in various innovation sectors. This US registered enterprise is based in Nizhny Novgorod and has developed a wide network of consulting partnerships in key cities across the RF. In 2007, Mr. White created the Marchmont Media division which published the Marchmont Investment Guide to Russia journal and currently operates the www.Marchmontnews.com website which covers regional investment news for finance professionals. Since 2008, Marchmont has been responsible for organizing the “Business Leaders Investment Forum”, a monthly event held in key regional capital cities across the RF. This event brings together scientific innovators, business owners, investors and political leaders – together with a wide range of expert speakers from Moscow and abroad - with the aim of promoting regional manufacturing investments into modernization. Mr. White is an expert in the field of early stage innovation project commercialization and was appointed in 2006 as one of the five private sector members of the US Russia Innovation Council on High Technologies, (ICHT), a Presidential Commission focused on developing policy proposals for the Russian government aimed at promoting Russia’s innovation economy and improving commercial business ties between the US and Russia technology sectors. Mr. White is also a member of the Independent Directors Association, (IDA), and Marchmont also holds membership in the US Russia Business Council (USRBC), the Russo British Chamber of Commerce, (RBCC) as well as many other regional Trade Associations. From 1998 to 2005, Mr. White was Director of the Quadriga Central Russia Regional Venture Fund (CR RVF), a USD $50.0 million private equity fund financed by the EBRD and the German KfW. He oversaw the implementation of numerous successful investment projects during this time, including Nizhpharm, now part of the STADA Group, Bridgetown Foods, a top FMCG snack food producer, and Multiflex, the leading flexible packaging producer in Russia. Other co-investments made by the CR RVF included; ROC, ERA Trading, Speech Technology, Pekar and Morion electronics. Between 1995 and 1998, Mr. White worked in the Corporate Finance Division of Price Waterhouse Coopers, where he was specifically seconded as a Senior Advisor to the Russian Privatization Center (RPC) and its Volga Vyatsky branch division in Nizhny Novgorod. Mr. White was responsible for training 22 Russian consultants in three provincial regions of Central Russia on the development of a self sustainable investment advisory center for SME businesses seeking market expansion and growth capital. Between 1992 and 1995, Mr. White worked as an advisor to the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Administration and the “EPI center” think tank, where he focused his efforts on developing post privatization SME development programs, and establishing one of Russia’s first training centers dedicated to emerging entrepreneurs. This work resulting in numerous new company formations and helped to establish the region as a leader in Russia’s reform process and conversion from a command to a market driven economy. Prior to arriving in Russia, Mr. White worked from 1985 to 1992 at ABN/Amro - LaSalle Bank, in Chicago, IL, in various management positions in Strategic Planning, Cash Mgt and M&A. Mr. White holds an MBA in Finance & Int’l Business from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management (1990), Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, and a BA degree in International Economics from Stetson University (1985), DeLand, FL. Mr. White lived full time in the city of Nizhny Novgorod and is married with two children.

Gregg Scott Robins
UBS Head of Wealth Management in Russia, Moscow
Gregg Robins is the UBS Head of Wealth Management in Russia. Since taking on this role in May 2010, he has been responsible for developing UBS Wealth Management’s strategic direction in Russia, including the development and leadership of several businesses: the UBS Representative Office, serving our offshore locations, and the newly created Advisory Office, providing clients in Russia with a local presence, Swiss service, and a global platform. An important component of the advisory business is the Corporate Advisory Group (CAG), which handles mid-market M&A and capital raising deals. Gregg has been responsible for staffing these businesses, including various senior hires, such as Stefan Reutter, MD and Head of CAG in Russia. 
Gregg is a wealth management executive and specialist in Russian & East European markets with a track record in hiring top talent and building successful businesses. His distinguished career in corporate and private banking includes Citigroup, and most recently UBP, where he was the Regional Head for Russia and Eastern Europe. At UBP, he was a pioneer in building an advisory business in Moscow, in addition to growing and strengthening teams and business in the booking centers in Zurich, Geneva and London. 
Throughout his professional career, Gregg has worked as an advisor to a number of high-profile Russian corporations and financial institutions. His global experience is accompanied by language proficiency in Russian, Spanish, French and German. He holds a doctorate from Oxford University and for several years was a recognized professor at the New York University Stern School of Business, in the Executive MBA Program. Gregg has written and presented extensively on the financial services industry: the author of Banking and Transition: East Germany After Unification (Macmillan Press: 2000), he has also published columns, feature interviews, and various articles in leading international business media outlets. Gregg is also an accomplished musician and songwriter.

Chris Gilbert
Head of the Branch Office (Russia Director), The Russo-British Chamber of Commerce (RBCC), Moscow
Chris Gilbert has been Russia Director of the RBCC since April 2009, having previously worked as the Chamber's UK Commercial Manager in 2004-5 and Director of the RBCC's St Petersburg office from 2006-7. Based in Moscow, his role now is to oversee and coordinate the activities of both RBCC Russia offices, and to develop and strengthen the Chamber's service offering in Russia to both its local and UK-based members. 
Chris Gilbert first visited the Soviet Union in 1989, and spent a year studying at the Moscow State Linguistic University in the early '90s. 
He has extensive experience of international trade, having begun his career working for a small company importing goods from SE Asia, and has also worked in retail management and logistics. Prior to joining the RBCC, Chris worked for a major US company supplying dental equipment and materials to the Russia/CIS market. A fluent Russian speaker, Chris has written articles for a number of international and Russian business publications, and before taking on his present role published a guide to Russia for business travellers.

Ilya Ponomarev
Deputy, State Duma of the Russian Federation, the adviser to the President of Skolkovo Fund on international development and technologies commercialization, Moscow
Ilya Ponomarev has more than 20 years of international operational and investment experience working in high technology industries with primary focus on IT and energy. During recent decade it was complemented with active political and social life involvement as well as government relations practice. Currently Ilya is a member of Russian Parliament – State Duma, Social Democrat representing Novosibirsk – the capital of Siberia, and chairing Hi-Tech developing subcommittee, introducing legislation to support emerging innovation economy in Russia. Among his recent achievements is the amendment to the Civil Code, legalizing LLPs in Russia, and Net Businesses Act. He also heads International Business Development, Commercialization and Technology Transfer for Skolkovo Foundation – managing company of the project chaired by Pres. Medvedev, which is to become the spinal cord of Russian innovation ecosystem. Before being elected, Hon. Ponomarev was working for Secretary of IT and Telecom as national coordinator for hi-tech parks task force - $6 bln. private-public project to develop a network of small settlements across the country for fostering innovation and R&D activities. Earlier Ilya held various positions in government offices and private companies. Most remarkable positions include: - Vice president for strategy, regional development and government relations at IBS, largest Russian system integrator and consulting company; - Vice president of Yukos Oil Company, largest Russian oil and gas corporation. Ilya’s duties during 4 years at Yukos at different times included being corporate CIO as well as chief executive and chief of operations in Yukos’ oilfield technologies and services subsidiaries and daughter investment company (specialized in high technologies); - Director for Business Development and Marketing in CIS for Schlumberger Oilfield Services, responsible for scouting, adopting into Schlumberger product lines and further global marketing of Russia-originated technologies in energy sector. Before joining Schlumberger, Ilya was among founders of two successful high technology start-ups in Russia. His first job position was in Institute for Nuclear Safety (IBRAE), Russian Academy of Sciences. Ilya Ponomarev holds BSc in Physics from Moscow State University. He is member of Society of Petroleum Engineers (IT), Council for Foreign and Defense Policies, Council for National Strategy, fellow at “Open Russia” foundation. Hon. Ponomarev is supervising innovation policies research at Institute of Contemporary Development (INSOR, think-tank chaired by Pres. Medvedev), and political studies at Institute of Globalization Studies (IPROG). He is member of Central Committee, Political Party “Fair Russia” (Social Democrats). Hon. Ponomarev is an author of numerous research papers and magazine articles about new economy development, regional policies and international relations.

Yan Ryazantsev

Science and technology manager, engineer, Yan Ryazantsev is one of the pioneers of the technological business in the USSR. He graduated from the Tambov Chemical Engineering Institute, majoring in Automation of Chemical Production. In 1987 he established one of the first independent profit-making scientific organizations—Foundation for Technology Creativity. In 1990 he founded and headed New Systems Co.,—one of the few innovation companies of that period. In 90s, the company funded and fostered several projects on alternative energy, electrophysics and instrument engineering. Since 2002 till 2007 he was head of Investment Projects and Promising Technologies Department in the state-owned Central Research and Technology Institute of Russia (Moscow).

Since 2007 Yan has been Investment Director, subsequently Director of Investments and Expertise Department, of Russian Venture Company—a state owned fund of funds. His track record with RVC includes hands-on management of Tenders One and Two and, in the follow-up of these tenders, establishment of a number of closed-end venture capital funds to a total capitalization of RUB 19.8 billion. Additionally, his successful management efforts allowed RVC to launch two international RVC backed funds. In 2010 he was elected member of the Management Board of RVC.

Natalia Milchakova

Natalia is in charge of tax services for the Technology, Communication, Entertainment & Media sectors. During 19 years Natalia has been with the Firm she has advised a wide range of Russian and multinational companies on Russian legislation and tax practices. Prior to joining PwC, she was the Chief Tax Consultant at the Ministry of Finance. She played a significant role in the development of much of the Russian tax legislation involving joint ventures and foreign investment and participated in negotiating international tax treaties. Natalia actively participates on various industry oriented activities, speaks regularly at conferences. She gained wide-ranging understanding of the technology industry through her experience working with major technology companies. Recently Natalia has been actively involved in setting up the Russian office of the PwC Centre of Technology and Innovations and was one of the contributors to the CTI’s Report on incentives for Innovations issued in January 2010.

Yulin Chang graduated from National Taiwan University with his B.S and M.S. in Political Science. Today Svjatoslav is the President of Intellectual Investment Partnership (2IP) – VC firm specializing in investing into Russian high tech businesses. Svjatoslav focuses on venture investments into commercial web applications, social networks, internet communications and on-line TV - videos. Svjatoslav is the member of Russia Federation Council`s Business Development Committee and Russian Association of Venture Investors.
Svjatoslav earned his finance and business management masters degrees at St. Petersburg State University and Maryland School of Business (MD, USA.). He, also, was the only candidate in his year to earn honor to enter The Russian Academy of Science.
Alexander Galitsky

Alexander Galitsky is co-founder and managing partner of Almaz Capital Partners. He is a well-known innovator, entrepreneur and investor in Russia, in USA and Europe. Alexander is an advisor to seed venture fund Runa Capital, which includes the business incubator Runa Park. In June 2010, he was appointed as the Board Member of the Skolkovo Fund. Alexander is also on the board of Acumatica, AlterGeo and Parallels. Prior to co-founding Almaz Capital Partners, Alexander formed the Information and Communications Technology investment practice at Russian Technologies ("RT"), one of the first venture capital funds in Russia. Alexander was involved in investment community from 2003 as the President of the first TechTour-2004 event in Russia. Prior to his investment career, he founded and led as CEO five successful companies in the software, communications, semiconductor, internet and security sectors, including Elvees, ELVIS+, Elvis Telekom, EzWim and TrustWorks Systems. With ELVIS+, a company he founded in the fall of 1991, he pioneered the development and commercialization of WiFi and FW/VPN technologies in collaboration with Sun Microsystems. Alexander has also been an individual investor and advisory/board member for a number of companies, including EzWIM (acquired by TMT Ventures), Magnifire (now F5, Nasdaq: FFIV), Parallels, Start-Telecom; NavMaps (now TeleAtlas), Acronis, S-Terra and PGP Inc.(acquired by Semantec). In 1993, he negotiated the first overseas and direct investment ever made by Sun Microsystems. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Alexander served as one of the top Technical Executive for the Soviet Space Agency and Defense Industry. During his tenure there (1979-1992), he was responsible for the design and implementation of satellite and spacecraft software, as well as computer and data communication systems. Alexander was the youngest national program leader for on-board computer systems and low-orbit data communication systems for the Soviet "Star Wars" response program. He has over 30 patents for numerous inventions, including parallel processing, WiFi and VPN Security technologies. Alexander was honored as the most influential person in the Russian IT and Internet industry, and named "Technology Pioneer" at the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2000. Alexander is the Chairman of Advisory Board of Russian Venture Company and member of Innovation Committee of Rostelecom. Alexander earned a PhD in Computer Science from joint authority of Defense Research Institute and MIPT.
Ivan Nechaev

One of ideologists of AutoTracker, a GLONASS/GPS vehicle tracking system. Winner of Zworykin Award 2010 for Best Innovative Product. In 2001, Ivan received a degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Aerophysics and Space Research Department of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Between 2006 and 2008, he took an MBA course in Financial Management at Graduate School of International Business of the Russian Academy of National Economy. In 2000, Ivan joined RUSLAN Communications, where he held various positions and was directly involved in the development of the AutoTracker vehicle tracking system. Maarten van den Belt

During that time he managed to execute an organisational model change, improved staff efficiency and oversaw significant business growth. Prior to that he spent seven years at Raiffeisen: three years as Deputy General Manager in the Moscow office and four years as General Manager in London. Yury Barzov

From 2006 till present time Yury Borzov is the CEO of AGVIR.COM, company developing a platform for social networks with a limited access, producing developing video content and providing consultations related to the talent management strategy. Over 150 unique video leadership lessons from leading Russian and foreign businessmen and top managers are available on the company`s web sites www.good2work.com and www.good2work.ru. In 2000 Mr Borzov created and launched online manager learning community E-xecutive.ru which has united over 200,000 Russian executives. From 1996 to 2005 Yury Borzov worked for Ward Howell International and from 1998 he was one of its managing partners. He led the company`s specialized practices in recruiting executives in the fields of high technologies and telecommunications, pharmaceutics and insurance. He was also involved in the company`s global practices in providing services to Spencer Stuart boards of directors. In 2001 he successfully introduced a new area of recruiting middle managers Management Selection. Previously, Yury Borzov worked as an adviser on senior managerial personnel recruitment. He was also responsible for organizing training for Russian executives abroad and setting up joint ventures in Russian and foreign companies. Between 1983 and 1991 Yury Borzov worked in the diplomatic service in Austria, Russia and Finland. Mr Borzov received his degree from Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Hans Schwendner

Dr.-Ing. Hans Schwendner is the head of CONINTEC and international consultant. He draws from a rich personal experience - and honest conviction of the products and partners, for whom he stands up! Sergey Mitrofanov

Sergey Mitrofanov is experienced in marketing, sales, starting new companies and business development in Russia. Having an MBA degree from the Stockholm School of Economics, Sergey has also degrees in economics and engineering. His practical experience in business includes leadership of the Advertising Group of “Vitrina A’s” branch, work in Promstroybank (St. Petersburg), AIG Russia and Renaissance Insurance Company. Alexey Germanovich was born in Moscow on July 19, 1977. In 1998 he graduated from the School of Economics at the M. V. In December 2008 he completed the Cranfield University (Great Britain) Executive MBA program . Since November 2001 and up till now Alexey had been working in Severstal in various executive positions. 
Since January 2007, he had been the Senior Vice President of Severstal for strategic communications and corporate social responsibility. From May 2002 to December 2006, he had been the Deputy CEO of Severstal-Group on PR and media relations. From November 2001 to May 2002 he worked as an Adviser to Severstal CEO on mass media and government relations. 
During his time in Severstal, Alexey Germanovich served as a Member of the Boards of Severstal-Auto (2003-2004), Zavolzhsky Motorniy Zavod (2003-2004), Severstal-–Infocom (2005 - till now), taking part in developing strategies for these companies. From June 2005 to December 2006, Alexei was the “Ren-TV” Board Chairman. Before joining Severstal, Alexey Germanovich worked as a journalist in a variety of newspapers and magazines. After graduating Kirgyz State Medical Institute in 1984 Rakhimdzhan Roziev was assigned to specialized residency of Medical Radiological Research center of Russian Academy of medical sciences.
