Interregional rail operator North Caucasus Railways has announced plans to invest $3.8m in reconstruction of Kavkaz (Caucasus) rail and sea port station in Krasnodar region.
Last year the company reportedly invested $8.8m in the station upgrades.
As a result of the investment, by 2015 annual export-import cargo shipments by ferry and railway between stations Caucasus and Crimea are to reach about 2 million tons.
North Caucasus Railways is a part of national rail operator Russian Railways.
