Vladivostok airport’s $242m runway upgrade aired

Vladivostok’s Knevichi airport has launched a $242m upgrade of its runway 1, company CEO Maxim Chetverikov announced today.

According to him, the RF government has already earmarked $113m for this year; another $130m will be allocated in 2010, he said.

Under plans, runway coating will be replaced and the runway added another 1 km.

The upgrade is to be reportedly finished next year.
