Primorsky krai gets $225m federal package for roads

15 Apr '09
Investment from the federal budget into road construction and upgrades in Primorsky krai in 2009 is to hit $255m, officials announced today.

But the funding is conditional on regional budgets also contributing, though how much wasn't stated.

$102m of the federal package, plus a further regional top-up of $22.5m is earmarked for construction of a bridge across the Golden Horn bay, hoped to be completed in time for the APEC summit set for Vladivostok in 2012.

Officials added the package would fund the next stage, a 22km stretch, in construction of the Vladivostok-Nkhodka-Port East highway.
