14 Apr '09
Vladivostoksky Morskoy Torgovy Port (Vladivostok Commercial Seaport, VCS) has placed an order with Dutch shipbuilder Damen for a $5m ice-class tugboat.

VCS said it would fund the move with loans it had already taken out.

Under plans, the tugboat, with main propulsion capacity of 3,000 horsepower, will be laid down in May, 2009.

The tugboat is scheduled to be put into commission at the end of 2010.
