Express Primorya, Russias new rail operator

Rail company Express Primorya entered the national rail market on April 1 as an independent rail carrier in Russias Far East, Far East Railway reported yesterday.

National rail operator Russian Railways, the parent company of Far East Railway, owns 51% of Express Primorya, the report said.

Express Primorya reportedly got a license for passenger and freight operations as early as 2006, but it didnt receive its integrated operational code as a rail carrier until February 2009.
