$277m invested in Vladivostok’s APEC facilities

13 Mar '09
More than $277m out of the planned $2.5bn has already been invested in infrastructure facilities being built for Vladivostok’s upcoming APEC summit in 2012, RF Minister of Transport Igor Levitin told Rossiyskaya Gazeta today.

Reportedly planned for the summit is construction of two bridges in Vladivostok: one across the Zolotoi Rog Harbor and the other from mainland Vladivostok to the Isle of Russky where the summit will take place.

Also, the Vladivostok airport and the city’s main roads are to be overhauled prior to 2012, the minister said.

He also added that this year’s costs had been cut by almost $140m due to a drop in construction material prices.
