Biysk to get $7.4m station in August

National rail operator Russian Railways has announced plans to open a $7.4m train station in the town of Biysk, Altay region.

The project is reportedly financed jointly by the company and authorities in Altay region.

The 3,500-square-meter train station is to have daily throughput capacity of 1,000 passengers, the firm said.

Construction started in August 2008.
