Far East Rail gets new $4m electric train

The Vladivostok branch of Far East Railway has received a new ED-9M-type AC electric train worth $4m, the company reported today.

Upon thorough testing the new electric train will replace obsolete ones at one of the most passenger-intensive commuter sections in Primorsky Region.

Far East Railway is part of national rail operator Russian Railways.
