Primorsky regionís $540m five-year sports development program

Authorities in Primorsky region have developed a $540m physical education and sports development program to run in 2011-2015, regional officials report.

Of the total funding, $370m is reportedly to be allocated from the regional budget, and over $170m is to be raised from the federal budget and private investors.

Under the program, the funds are to be spent on construction of new sports facilities and reconstruction of existing arenas and sports centers.
