Government musters investors for the Sochi-2014 Olympics

State corporation Olympstroy engaged in construction of various facilities for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi has announced a tender to choose investors for a luge and bobsleigh track near the village of Krasnaya Polyana, Sochi Region, the corporation’s site reports.

Construction of the track for 11,000 spectators is planned to start in March 2009 and must be completed in November 2011.

Apart from the track the bidding lot also includes construction of a water supply intake, water treatment facilities, and shielding structures near the track.
The tender results will be announced on September 9.

The terms of the tender require that a potential investor possess at least 30 percent of the total project cost and have experience in implementing investment projects similar in magnitude to Olympic-related ones.
