Sibirtelecom to invest $34m in Omsk region in 2010

Interregional telecom operator in Siberian federal district Sibirtelecom has announced plans to invest about $34m in development on communications network in Omsk region in 2010.

Under plans, most of the funds are to be invested in development of new communication services, including ADSL and ETTH Internet access and digital television IP-TV.

About $8.5m is to be in modernization and expansion of the existing telephony facilities, including construction of fiber-optic lines and multiservice network, the firm said.
