Rostelecom presents electronic government in Yakutia

The first test presentation of Republic of Yakutia electronic government services provision was held in the city of Yakutsk under the federal program “Electronic Russia”, the website of the Commission on Modernization and Technological Development of the Economy of Russia reports citing regional officials.
The representatives of the national telecom operator Rostelecom have demonstrated the test mode of state services provision. For example, the testers have tried the function of searching for vacancies and workplaces in public institutions through the portal of the Employment Department. In response to the sent request the company representative received a detailed information on job duties of new employees.
According to Aleksander Borisov, the deputy chairman of the government of the Republic of Yakutia, 49 services are almost ready to be launched in the Republic of Yakutia. Out of this number, 14 are included in the federal list of priority services. These are the services of the regional ministries of labor and social politics, education, healthcare, department of employments and vital records registry office. “We hope that within the two years the whole federal list of priority services amounting to 87 groups will be realized in the Republic,” Mr. Borisov added.
The presented services are scheduled to be launched in a month.
Under the next stage, by July 1, 2011, the system is to ensure interaction between agencies and unload the claimer from submitting documents and data, which are held in other agencies.
Under the Russian President’s order, by 2015 all processes of providing municipal an state services are to be transferred into the electronic format. The system is to provide opportunity to each citizen of the country to receive services in such a way that he won’t have to submit any documents. The project is coordinated by the RF Ministry of Economic Development. Rostelecom was selected as the single national operator of the electronic government infrastructure.
