GE Energy to build $30m hi-tech center in Kaluga

American company General Electric Energy has announced $30m plans to build a Center of Energy Technologies in Kaluga.

Under plans, the Center will create 50-100 new jobs for Russian highly-qualified engineers.

The Center is scheduled to start operating in 2010.

The products are reportedly to be supplied to Russian markets, as well as exported to Middle Asia countries.
