Russian drone for rescue operations tested in the Arctic

Seadrone ME is the first Russian rescue drone tested in the Arctic in the Kara Sea.

The drone was tested with takeoffs and landings in semi-automatic and automatic modes, landing on water while rescuing a person on the water. Also, the dumping of a life jacket and a lifebuoy to a drowning man, flights with a loudspeaker and a searchlight were worked out. The drone also carried out water sampling using a bathometer.

The purpose of testing the Seadrone ME drone was to test its performance in bad weather conditions, such as: wind speed, humidity, wave height.

Seadrone ME will be useful for working in northern latitudes, which makes it possible to commercialize it in open sea and salt fog conditions.
