Russian company unveils new line of computer vision technologies

VisionLabs, a resident of the Skolkovo Foundation (VEB.RF Group), has launched a new line of human-centric technology - human-centered digital technologies based on computer vision.

Novel solutions based on analytics on silhouettes, gestures, postures, direction of gaze outside the framework of biometric systems enable an increase in the efficiency of business processes and the quality of customer service without collecting personal data.
Konstantin Parshin, Vice President, Executive Director of the Information Technology Cluster of the Skolkovo Foundation: Resident of the Skolkovo Foundation, VisionLabs has repeatedly proved its status as one of the world leaders in the field of creating systems based on computer vision. The use of new technologies will help the development of artificial intelligence in Russia and expand the scope of its application. Human-centric technologies are in demand in almost all spheres of the economy - from banks and retail to industrial enterprises and smart cities.
In retail, human-centric technology can be used to track the direction of the gaze, to identify the interest of buyers in a particular category of goods. In urban planning, to optimize urban space: the system monitors the movement of the flow of people, based on this data, sidewalks are laid, transitions are organized, the location of stops and the number of buses on the route are selected. For emergency services, the technology will provide invaluable assistance in finding missing people.

In addition, it can be used in industrial, transportation, financial companies, as well as in the entertainment sector. The company has already used some of the human-centric technology tools to recognize personal protective equipment during the mask mode.
