Russias most promising start-ups listed in RSRs new Top-50 ranking

23 Dec '13
The Russian Startup Rating (RSR) has released its new list of Top-50 Russian start-ups which includes new projects in high-tech, biotech, IT, and medicine, reported Russia Beyond the Headlines, the international project of Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

The list includes a brief description of all the companies and their contacts. From prior experience with the rankings previous editions, the list is useful for start-ups, which are able to express themselves in the international arena, and investors, for whom the Top-50 rating is a convenient base to find projects with investment potential.

Winners of the rating were announced on December 9 at the TechCrunch Moscow 2013 conference. The conference was dedicated to start-ups, new trends and hot news from the field of technology.

Organizers of RSR, GreenfieldProject and Digital October Center, are paying special attention to young businesses in the high-tech field, so the Top-50 list includes 25 projects from high-tech, biotech and medicine, as well as 25 start-ups in IT and Internet.

The ranking includes such projects as DiaPark, a system of early detection of Parkinson's disease; Onkoscreening, a detection technique to prevent various oncology diseases at early stages; RRT Global, a technology that is said to enable a substantial (by several times) reduction of the cost of Euro-5 gasoline; Oriense, a global system for visually impaired people; and many others.

Between now and six months ago when we released the previous Top-50, we significantly improved the assessment methodology, said Renat Garipov, the CEO of GreenfieldProject.

The Russian Startup Rating is an infrastructure project focused on developing technological entrepreneurship in Russia. Its major task is to identify and demonstrate promising Russian start-ups and developments for specialized and non-specialized Russian and foreign investors.
