Nizhny Novgorod and Skolkovo to forge long-term partnership

The Nizhny Novgorod region, in the mid-Volga area, and the Skolkovo Foundation running Russias largest innovation hub still under construction outside Moscow have plans to pool efforts in the commercialization of local technology projects, Alliance-Media National Business Partnership reports.

According to Nizhny Novgorod regional authorities, the prospective cooperation agreement aims to help establish a long-term partnership between the region and Skolkovo in administrative, economic and R&D-related issues. The key objective here is to facilitate research and project commercialization, create new jobs in the regions high technology sectors in the form of partnership based on local research and educational institutions, innovation centers and industrial companies.

Also under plans, a number of promising regional investment projects will be presented to potential investors, including the widely touted Ankudinovka IT techno-park just outside the city of Nizhny Novgorod.
