Russian and Chinese techno-parks strike cooperation agreement

As reported by , Russian techno-park “Zhigulyovskaya Dolina”, located in the Samara region, and China’s Tsinghua Science Park (TusPark) of Tsinghua University in Beijing have signed a memorandum on cooperation.
TusPark specializes in commercializing science and technology research.
According to Valery Dunisov, CEO of Zhigulyovskaya Dolina, the techno-park’s future residents will predominantly focus on IT, space and production technologies, transport, energy efficiency, new materials and chemicals.
Construction of the techno-park “Zhigulyovskaya Dolina’ has been under way since 2010 under the federal program “Creation of High-Tech Techno-parks in the Russian Federation”. The 26-hectare facility is located near the auto plant AvtoVAZ. The scientific complex is expected to create 4,000 jobs. There are currently 32 residents there, including China’s Huawei.
