RVC USA, the Russian Venture Companyís (RVC) representative entity in the US, encourages globally oriented Russian projects to apply to the international contest MassChallenge 2012, NanoNewsNet reports.

RVC USA is a platinum partner of the contest MassChallenge 2012.

Applications are accepted on the contest website www.masschallenge.org. Application fee is set at $199. However, firstly, the fee can be waived if Russian applicants get a recommendation from RVC. Secondly, organizers say they would return the fee to viable projects, accepted to the contest.

Russian applicants are asked to copy applications to RVC (pichugin.ig@rusventure.ru), RVC USA (michelle.lampa@rvc-usa.com), and Startup Access (info@startup-access.com). RVC USA will ensure that at least three Russian projects will get into semi-finals of MassChallenge under the program Fast Track. These projects will be selected by experts of RVC and RVC USA. Startup Access will help candidates to fill out their applications.

Applications deadline is set at April 11, 2012.

Projects that have already raised over $500,000 investment, canít take part in the contest.

MassChallenge will choose 125 finalists out of 300 semi-finalists in the end of May. In June-September the finalists will undergo a three-month mentorship program in Boston, concluded by the Investor Day.

RVC USA will cover accommodation costs and living expenses during three months in Boston for at least three finalist teams of two members each.
