Rosatom and FIEP of Rusnano bought 50% in Sarov Technopark

State corporation Rosatom and the Fund of Infrastructure and Educational Programs of Rusnano have purchased 25% plus one shares each in Sarov Technopark, based in Nizhny Novgorod region, having paid $6.3m each, news agency reports citing financial corporation AFC Sistema that had owned 100% shares in the technopark.
The parties have purchased out newly issued 50% plus two shares in Sarov Technopark. AFC Sistema will own 50% minus two shares in the updated charter capital in technopark. The parties will become shareholders after the report on issuance of new shares is registered by the Federal Service of Financial Markets (FSFM).
“Inclusion of the Fund of Infrastructure and Educational Programs of Rusnano and the state corporation Rosatom in the charter capital of the Sarov Technopark will enable to unite opportunities of the state and private business, form new large projects, bring in additional finance for their realization. It will also result in obtaining synergy effect and lowering investment and science and technological risks through uniting the partners competencies,” Mikhail Shamolin, the president of the AFC Sistema said.
The shareholders of the technopark plan to form the mechanism for joint financing and development of projects, their realization within the science and production cluster, creation of the supercomputer center, construction of infrastructure, and development of competencies for managing operations of the technopark’s residents.
In October 2011 Anatoly Chubais, the head of Rusnano, Sergey Kirienko, the director general of Rosatom, and Vladimir Evtushenkov, the chairman of the Board of the AFC Sistema, signed an agreement on joint project of the science and production cluster in the Sarov Technopark.
The main goal of the project is development of the science and production, engineering and social infrastructure of the technopark, project management, realization of projects in the technopark on the outsourcing project using competencies of the nuclear center in Sarov and its infrastructure.
