The Center of Development of Scientific Youth Innovative Entrepreneurship was founded in the State University of Nizhny Novgorod (UNN) named after Lobachevsky, reports citing the university.
The main goal of the center is organization and coordination of events for development of youth innovative entrepreneurship in the university.
The center was created under the UNN development program , as the national research university, program of development of the UNN innovative infrastructure, and the Russian-American program EVRICA, aimed at development of the science research and entrepreneurial potential of the universities.
The University of Nizhni Novgorod was inaugurated on January 17, 1916, as one of Russia's three People's universities and became the first higher education institute in Nizhny Novgorod. In 1918, after merger with the polytechnic university and Higher Agricultural Courses, evacuated from Warsaw, it acquired the status of a state university and became the first Soviet university. Today the University of Nizhni Novgorod (UNN) is one of the leading universities in Russia and a major education and research complex. University of Nizhny Novgorod comprises 27 faculties, 122 departments, six research institutes, museums and other facilities. Total enrolment is over 40 000 undergraduate and graduate students.
