1 Sep '21
The Skolkovo resident company Promobot will present at the international forum EEF-2021 its companion robot with movable arms, which can greet, send air kisses and imitate human emotions. Such robots are already working in several MFCs as consultants.

The Robo-C robot was created by the Russian manufacturer of autonomous service robots Promobot. His main difference from past models is that his hands can move, show gestures, and greet.
There are eight motors in each hand, the robot can carry loads up to 2 kg with its hands, it can take something in its hand, indicate the direction, shake the hand of the interlocutor. [...] In the future, we plan to teach the robot to write in various languages and draw, said Promobot.
Early models of the company's robots could move their eyes, eyebrows, lips, and also keep the conversation going and answer questions. The new model also has these functions.
The technology developed by Promobot, as well as its own patented design, allows reproducing over 600 variants of human micromimics, simulating his emotions as realistically as possible, the developers explained.
The Promobot said that they will soon make the robot legs.

The developments were financed by the Far Eastern High Technology Fund (DFVT) and were carried out in the company's R&D divisions in Vladivostok and Perm, the company said.
Service robots from Russia are known all over the world and the emergence of new solutions and technologies will enhance the opportunities for international sales, said Ruslan Sarkisov, General Director of Far Eastern High Technologies Fund Management Company LLC.
Promobot reported that sales of the new Robo-C model have already begun. 19 such robots work in the Moscow and Perm MFCs, as well as in medical universities and museums. In total, the company has sold more than 700 of its robots to customers in 43 countries.

Promobot was founded in 2015 in Perm. In the same year, the company became a resident of Skolkovo and today is the largest manufacturer of autonomous service robots in Russia, Northern and Eastern Europe, the company said.
