IT-technopark “Novator” has opened in Chelyabinsk to bring together software and IT-tecnologies developers, Russia Region Press reports.
The technopark was set up under the project to create sector clusters throughout Urals regions. Chelyabinsk IT-technopark is expected to help starting innovators with their businesses, as well as push large companies to overcome technological and moral underdevelopment.
IT-technopark “Novator” opened at premises of the federally-owned plant Pribor. The new complex has offices for startup firms, engaged in development of IT-technologies, and rooms for training seminars by website design companies from Chelyabinsk. Its anchor resident is the local company Prikladnye Tekhnologii (Applied Technologies).
Novator’s main goal is to coordinate activity of startup companies, developing innovation products in the sector of IT technologies. Its specialists will assist projects by young innovators. According to the technopark’s representatives, a resident can be either an individual or organization – whether a recent student, who decided to realize a personal project, or a company that has already entered market and needs help in product promotion and other services. Businessmen will also get tax benefits and minimum office rent rates.
