$4m data storage commissioned in Tomsk

National telecommunication operator Sinterra has set up in Tomsk its first $4m regional data storage and processing center, Siberian Federal Districtís most powerful commercial data hub.

The capacity of the first stage will be 150 standard computer cabinets operating at 40 Gbps.

The companyís CEO Vitaly Slizen believes the center will help integrate the Tomsk Region in Russiaís information communication environment.

Mr.Slizen adds that similar centers are eyed in Kransoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Barnaul, and Irkutsk.
