The International Center of Coal Technologies and New Carbon Materials will be set up in Kemerovo region, innovation and venture news source reports.
The Center project was reportedly developed by the company Kuzbass Sorbent.
The project has successfully undergone expert assessment by the Skolkovo Foundation. The Center is currently attracting investors and contractors for carrying innovation projects in the sector of new carbon materials from coal and coal technologies, including projects with carbon pitch fibers and nanomaterials. Under plans, the new Center will create over 100 new jobs in Kemerovo region in 2013-2014.
Leading Russian and foreign scientists from universities and science centers from the USA, Australia, Finland, Germany, Spain and Japan, have expressed intention to work on the Center’s projects.
An official press-conference will be held in June to disclose the Center’s project directions and international partners.
