Three firms, based in the Republic of Karachayevo-Cherkessia, that implement innovative technologies, have become the winners of an open tender of the federal Government and will receive state support in the form of subsidies from the federal budget in 2011, reports.
The winners are Quest-A, Medical and Engineerging Nanotechnologies center “Nanomed” and Khabezsky Gypsum Plant.
The funding amount has yet to be disclosed.
Quest-A has presented a project in wool production. The firm has developed and is currently implementing a modern highly efficient technology of washing this material using local hot underground thermal waters. The innovative solution is to result in significantly lower negative environmental effect during wool production and initial processing.
The company has also introduced the complex technology for deep cleaning of industrial sewage waters. The company’s specialists have received a patent on the invention, and the FASIE fund has confirmed that the technology is innovative. As a result, Karachayevo-Cherkessia is to host production of a natural ecologically clean product – 100% wool, which is in high demand both at the foreign, as well as national and local markets.
The Khabezsky plant is carrying out a project to produce dry construction mixtures based on innovative technology of gypsum processing. The company uses complex additive KD-1 with superplasticizing agents and functional additives. As a result the gypsum strength is to grow from 50 kilograms per square centimeter to 200 kilograms, exceeding construction norms more than twice. Thus, for the first time in Russia the solution has been found on how to produce self-leveling floors based on low-grade gypsum.
The third winner is the nanotechnologies center Nanomed that intends to create a multi-profile innovative medical center in the city of Cherkassk.
