Dubna SEZ to back energy saving and heat/sound insulation
22 Aug '12
As innovation news portal Venture Business News reports, two innovative companies developing energy-saving and heat- and sound-insulation projects are likely to get residency status at the Dubna special economic zone (SEZ) some 80 miles north of Moscow. Their business plans have been reportedly approved by the Expert Council of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
One of the two has been developed by Moscow regional company Econext Energy-Saving Technologies and calls for the commercialization of lighting systems and LED modules based on proprietary ultrapure material (sapphire) production technology.
The other is being pushed by Technofom-Dubna, the Dubna-based branch of Technofom, Ivanovo (190 miles north-east of Moscow). The project focuses on developing a pilot technology that is expected to enable commercial production of high-quality next gen heat- and sound-insulation materials, to be marketed under the Techfom brand name.
With the two companies joining the Dubna SEZ the zone’s total number of residents will reach 84, the source says.
