According to Venture Business News, the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo has won a contest by the Russian Venture Company (RVC) to create a model of a regional university-based business-catalyst.
The project aims at uniting participants of the regional innovation ecosystem in the technological university, implementing the business-catalyst model in other regions, facilitating catalysts in universities and science and research institutes, focusing on improving developing companies and investment climate support infrastructure. The regional business-catalyst will coordinate interaction of innovation system agents in each region and ensure communication between interested parties.
The expected results include improved quality and quantity of applications for financing business-ideas, realized potential of active regions, and advanced innovation infrastructure throughout the country.
The project will be enforced by the newly created Center for Development of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem of the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo.
