MSU to host contest of papers on nanotechnologies by young authors

Nanotechnological community Nanometer has announced a contest of science and research papers of undergrad and postgrad students and young scientists, to be held within the 6th All-Russia Internet-Olympiad on Nanotechnologies, organized by the Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and the Fund of Infrastructure and Educational Programs of RUSNANO.
The contest is reportedly supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of RF, and the innovative companies NT MDT, AFC Sistema and Samsung.
The proposed paper topics include:
• Functional Nanomaterials;
• Nanophysics and Nanoelectronics;
• Ecology, Nanomedicine, and Nanobiotechnologies;
• Construction Nanomaterials;
• Synthesis and Analysis of Nanoobjects;
• Alternative Energy;
• Photonics and Nanophotonics;
• Carbon Nanomaterials;
• Creative Works;
• Social Aspects of Nanotechnologies;
• Academic Papers.
The papers are accepted between March 15 and April 5, 2012. The contest and paper presentation will be held during the Lomonosov Youth Conference in the MSU on April 9-13, 2012. Winners and laureates will get certificates and gifts from the contest organizers and partners. Their papers will be recommended for publishing in academic journals “Academy of Science Reports”, “Alternative Energy and Ecology”, “Russian Nanotechnologies”.
Since AFC Sistema and the program “Lift to the Future” have established special prizes within the 6th All-Russia Internet-Olympiad on Nanotechnologies, applicants are asked to also register and fill out a profile on the Lift to the Future website.
