Kaluga region to get $17m RF finance on technopark in Obninsk

Authorities in Kaluga region are to get $17.2m finance from the federal budget to build a technopark specializing in high technologies, Interfax reports.

The technopark is reportedly to be located in the city of Obninsk.

The project is scheduled to be carried out in 2011-2014.

Under plans, the federal authorities are to allocate a total of over $200m to create hi-tech technoparks in the Republics of Mordovia and Tatarstan, as well as Kaluga, Kemerovo, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Penza, Samara and Tyumen regions.
