IKEA to launch Mega store in Tomsk

30 Jul '08
Swedish furniture retailer IKEA intends to build shopping mall Mega in Tomsk, the firms CEO in Russia and the CIS Per Kaufmann said earlier today.

He added that the mall would be built on a 64-hectare site on Irkutsky Trakt street just outside Tomsk. The company plans to buy the site at auction later on.

Kaufmann declined to reveal project details, only saying that in a best-case scenario the mall would open in 2010.
