Big investors bet on FoodTech

31 Aug '21
Sistema SmartTech, a venture fund owned by AFK Sistema, a sizable Russian multisectoral company, earlier this summer decided to invest $2.7m in Checkbox, a domestic food delivery service.

The investee is using the new money to further improve its services and expand its geographical presence.

Checkbox currently operates in Moscow and St. Petersburg; it cooperates with more than 2,000 online food stores, including Vkusville, Baskin Robbins, Samsonite, Blue Sleep, Ecomarket, UniZoo, Kuchenland, and some others.
