Sverdlovsk region spends $290m on residential housing

Authorities in Sverdlovsk region have announced plans to spend $290m to provide special categories of citizenry with residential housing.

The funds are reportedly to be used to purchase 1,700 apartments for military officials and other beneficiaries, and to finish construction of 60 apartment blocks, which were frozen by developers due to the ongoing financial crisis.
