Authorities in Omsk region have approved a $100m regional Zhilische (Housing) program to develop residential housing sector to run over 2010-2015, regional officials report.
The funds are reportedly to be spent on construction of residential housing with total area of 3.8 million square meters.
A total of 1,100 families will get state support to purchase flats under the program, officials said.
Under plans, the funds are also to be used to carry out repairs of 469,500-square-meter apartment blocks and to eliminate 32,300-sqaure-meter housing, deemed beyond repair.
