Murmansk regionís $17.5m housing repairs plan

A total of $17.55m is to be spent on apartment blocks repairs in Murmansk region, regional officials report.

Of the total funding, $15.32m is reportedly to be allocated from the federal Support for Reforming Housing Utilities Fund, and the remainder is to be put up from the regional and municipal budgets, as well as by household owners.

Under plans, the funds are to be used to replace 258 elevators in 94 apartment blocks in the towns of Apatity, Kirovsk, Olenogorsk, Monchegorsk, Polyarnye Zori and Aleksandrovsk.
