Yakutia gets $48m housing aid

A total of $48m is to be assigned on apartment blocks repairs and citizenry relocation from housing, deemed beyond repair, in the Republic of Yakutia, news agency RIA Novosti reports.

Of the total funds, $38m is to be transferred by the federal Support for Reforming Housing Utilities Fund, with the remainder to be put up by regional authorities.

Under plans, the funds are to be used to revamp 312 apartment blocks and to relocate 52 outworn houses. As a result of the investment, 29,130 residents are to benefit from the program.
