German retail distributor Real, part of METRO Group, may open three food hypermarkets in Nizhny Novgorod, Martin Ender, General Director of Real Hypermarket, has announced.
The first Real hypermarket was set up in the Fantastika mall in Rodionova Street, Nizhny Novgorod. The hypermarket’s total floor space amounts to 11,300 square meters, 7,200 square meters out of it are used as trading premises. Mr. Ender noted that Real had invested around ?21m in this project.
At present there are ten Real hypermarkets in Russia. Three of them are located in Moscow, while the others are operating in the cities of St. Petersburg, Kazan, Yaroslavl, Lipetsk, Tolyatti (the Samara region), Volgograd and Nizhny Novgorod.
