Stavropol announces investment program for 2008-14

The Stavropol regional government has announced its strategy for investments for 2008-14.

More than $2.8bn will be is to be invested in the energy sector.

Other industries under the project are chemical, automobile, glass and furniture manufacture, which will receive $366.8m.

Among promising innovative projects are the production of melamine worth $ 163m and a flat glass plant construction in Krasnogvardeyskoe village worth
$89.6 m.
