The first stage of a $3m facilities investment project has been completed at Omskhydroprivod (a Russian leader in manufacturing hydraulic equipment), it was reported.

New equipment was provided by Czech company ALTA. The funds used to purchase the new equipment were borrowed from Česká importní banka.

The company also reported that ten new units of metal processing equipment installed during the second half of 2007 has enabled the plant to triple its production output.
