Owners of Russian Tungsten, a Primorsky regional company that has been idle since the beginning of the year, and Primorsky Governor Sergei Darkin have struck five-year lease of the company’s facilities to a new state-run entity for restart of production, a source in the Primorsky regional administration announced today.
Names of the Russian Tungsten owners and the company to take over production facilities have yet to be specified.
Earlier last week Mr. Darkin reportedly acted as a guarantor for a private banking loan to repay Russian Tungsten’s back salaries. This is rumored to have followed RF President Medvedev’s personal involvement.
According to the governor, Russian Tungsten’s workers will be employed at the new entity beginning July 1.
