Diamond producer ALROSA plans to produce $2.31bn worth of diamonds next year, the firm said today.
According to the company’s preliminary estimates, by the end of this year ALROSA will have produced $2.24bn worth of diamonds. CEO Fyodor Andreev said earlier this year that ALROSA’s overall 2009 sales would hit $2.75bn.
For 2010, the company reportedly has $3.3bn sales plans. According to the Yakutia company management, most diamonds will be sold in the open market; sales to the RF government will reportedly be lower than this year at $872m.
ALROSA is one of the world’s leading diamond companies with 25% of global production.
