Oil mining giant Gazprom Neft has introduced technologies of flexible pipeline and mobile pavement slabs at its Zapadno-Sutorminsky and Muravlenkovsky oil deposits in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, reports.
The deposits are developed by local firm Muravlenkovskneft, a branch of Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz, which is a part of Gazprom Neft.
The applied technologies are innovative.
The equipment presentation was attended by Mikhail Zakharov, the head of department of pipeline systems of Gazprom Neft, the representatives of pipeline operations departments of all subsidiary firms and contractors, the firm said.
The flexible pipelines were demonstrated at the 22nd well of the Zapadno-Sutorminsky deposit. Thanks to high exploitation quality, mobile use and ecological advantages the technology is expected to become an efficient instrument for solving various problems in performing oil mining operations.
The main advantage of this equipment is possibility of repairing it without stopping transportation of hydrocarbon materials and fast installation of the backup pipeline at the site.
Mobile pavement, demonstrated at the 12th well of the Muravlenkovsky deposit, is to be used at the marshy area in order to ensure a faster drive to the pipe rupture site, as well as to lower expenses on the rupture elimination through less amount of back filling of access roads.
Application of new technologies is one of the priority tasks in Muravlenkovskneft. Implementation of the technologies of flexible pipeline and mobile pavement slabs is aimed at lowering losses of extracted oil, optimizing expenses and minimizing negative environment impact.
