Gazprom to invest $22.4m in methane extraction in Kemerovo

Gazprom has announced plans to invest $22.4m into test drilling and extraction of methane at Eastern field in Taldynsky coal deposit in Kemerovo region.

The works at the deposit started last week, test extraction and gas supply to consumers are scheduled for the end of the year.

The drilling is to be carried out by Tomsk firm Tomskburneftegas, using drilling machinery by German manufacturer Satvia.
