PetroNeft pumps $17.5 into new Tomsk refinery

Irish oil company PetroNeft Resources is to invest $17.5m in construction of an oil refinery in Kolpashevsky district of Tomsk region, Vladimir Shafrygin, head officer in the district, has announced.

The refinery will be built on a 7.5-hectare site in the village of Pervomayka, owned by the company.

The refinery's projected annual capacity is 100,000 tons of oil.

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2010 and the plant is to start operation in 2011, Shafrygin said.
