Kuzbassrazrezugol unveils new $16m mining plants

12 May '08
Coal firm Kuzbassrazrezugol opened on Monday its two new concentration plants, capping a $16m project to build them which started in November 2007.

The plants are to be used for extracting coal from mined rock which, despite previously being considered waste, is nowadays processed into goods thanks to its robustness and low cost.

The firm said the plants, built by Kemerovo developers Stroy Service, were completed five months early, after project officials earlier said completion would take 12 months.
